Anxiety

Anxiety…

Is a psychological and physiological state characterized by somatic, emotional, cognitive, and behavioural components.  It is the displeasing feeling of fear and concern. The root meaning of the word anxiety is ‘to vex or trouble’, in either presence or absence of psychological stress.

Anxiety can create feelings of fear, worry, uneasiness, and dread.

However, anxiety should not be confused with fear, it is more of a dreaded feeling about something which appears intimidating and can overcome an individual.

Anxiety is considered to be a normal reaction to a stress event.

It may help an individual to deal with a demanding situation by prompting them to cope with it.

However, when anxiety becomes overwhelming, it may fall under the classification of an anxiety disorder.

Clearly the image does not symbolise Anxiety, the image however does symbolise the feeling that anxiety sufferers say the feel like when they have conquered the root cause…

History has had many wise men that have said many wise things… but it does’nt take a wise man to know that even when a journey is difficult, if the place where you are represents suffering, to make the dificult journey will often lead to a metaphorical “walk in a warm sunny field”… or what else puts a smile on your face… try it… surely it has to be better to smile…
